I’M SEEING DOTS

  polka dots! I went on a polka dot search for the perfect shades to coordinate with the sewing room, seems like half the time I venture into the sewing room someone calls & wants me to go some where lol so I like to wear an apron when I sew, so’s I don’t have strings all over me well not as many lol! now you’ll notice the black/white dots ,no  that doesn’t fit too much into the new cottage look but perfect for the kitchen with my funky chickens !

I’ll be tied up these next two weeks with family coming in from  out of town & our ladies conference coming up, perhaps in between I’ll have time to find more dots for when I get time to turn all these delicious dots into aprons lol!

NEED MORE COLOR & SOME FUN

Maybe because the sun comes in so bright & makes everything look so bright, but dark walls are defiantly out, been there done that lol but lighting up the yellow made a huge difference,yea I’m talking about the sewing room again lol! We went antiquing this past weekend & there was a room that just drew me in lol! as I walked around I’d come back to that room, humm what was it that drew me to that room

the first thing I noticed was the curtains were the exact fabric I have to make my curtains

I thought this was ribbon but it’s actually fabric & toil tied to a strand of lights didn’t know I got hubby in my shot lol! is this not the sweetest? my it’s just a bookcase with fabric tacked to it,there's a bookcase at my father-n-laws just waiting for me to come get it lol! I’m not sure what lured me to this room lol! perhaps the curtains reminding me to finish my window treatments, perhaps the pink, perhaps the lights, after  all lights at Christmas makes everything all better so perhaps that’s it! lol!

the sewing room is shaping up, I’ve been busy running here there & everywhere,but have had time to get a few things done organizing wise,those sewing UFO projects are almost 100% completed, there’s a lot to catch you up on & I’ll try ASAP but for now gotta go to town lol!

A SWEET GIFT FOR THE SEWING ROOM

I’ve been slowly  but surely gathering things for the sewing room, my friend Maurine is from MO  & she constantly reminding me that means she’s a “show me” person LOL! its not time for the big reveal just yet but here are a few goodies I’ve collected over the last few weeks, the dress form mannequin was given to me by a sweet friends cousin, it inspires me to try my hand at alterations
