A DIFFERENT VIEW

   testing the machine out on a new side of the room, it seems to be quite happy, as she whipped up another quilt block lol! now do you know which room is getting a makeover? lol!

I’VE BEEN TWEAKING!

I’ve been busy all day getting everything out & back in  a few times then back out lol! whatever messed with me  went out to the shed lol! my father-n-law has me a bran new 5 shelved bookcase still in the box he never used, says come get it! yippee hubby’s going to go get it tomorrow & put it together for me, a friend  gave me a rug to go in my new & improved long time coming room lol! can you guess which room I’ve been working hard at today? do the yellow walls give you a  clue? lol!

I finished 4 blocks today

whoo hoo 4 in one day, that’s a lot for me with as much as I have going lol! I told myself I’d do only 6 & I have 6

but I’ll wait & see how it looks after I get the side strips on each of the blocks, after the sides are added, each blocks should measure 12”

 

WORKING ON BLOCK #2

 

This is my 2nd block for the granny Square Quilt along,although the prints are pretty & they do coordinate well with each other,I’m thinking it is going to be a little too modern for my taste but we shall see as I get further into it, I’ve already decided it will be more of  a throw quilt size, rather than a full size,after I decide how big I want ti, then there’s the edges,with all the busieness I’ve been cutting squares here & there, picking peaches yesterday, taking my 4 yr old  grand daughters to the movies tonight, out of town tomorrow to my grandson’s 2nd birthday party, seeeeeeee why it’s taking so long lol!speaking of so long, I’ve gotta go get ready! lol!

I JUST HAD TO DO IT/UPDATE ON GREAT GRANNY ALONG

lol! a while back I’d won a beautiful jelly roll & upon signing up for the great granny square quilt along I carefully tried to look at my jelly roll to see what colors & prints it contained well needless to say the ribbon didn’t want to go back  all nice & tight like it was & the layers started oozing out lol! so I measured & they’re exactly 2 & 1/2’ wide  perfect for this quilt block so here I go with my first block layout!

I plan on sewing it together later tonight & possibly get a few more cut out, as for now, it’s back to the church to finish up getting our first shipment out for Dress A Girl Around The world,yes it’s going to be a fun productive day, can’t you just feel it?

well back a few months ago along about the fourth block or so it wasn’t looking so picnicee so I abandoned it back to the scrap box

the desire to make one still lingers & the scrap pile has grown with new scrapes so there may be hope for it yet!
