PLANS FOR TH NEW YEAR?

Happy New Year

keeping the plans simple & realistic, we can loose weight at any given moment , right? lol, 2013 is a time for new beginnings, we missed Thanksgiving, then I had a bout of the flu for 2 1/2 weeks, then bad weather set in so Christmas was cancelled & there’ll be no New years which makes it really easy to say ba humbug on all holidays or we can start with new beginnings

yes while others are taking down the tree I’ll be putting one up & about that Thanksgiving turkey, we’ll be cooking it tomorrow !

as far as New Years resolutions, I just want…..

to see this tornado damage finally cleaned up

embrace my grandbabies more, Reece from China will be with us in a few short monthsreece2

as far as sewing goes

to finish two quilts so I can start another lol!

to organize & restock the sewing room & spend more time in there

I said I wasn’t going to go into the New Year with any UFO’s nakies but the flu changed my plans on that so I’ll pick a month to tackle that, Jan’s looking bright for snowmen, I’m gathering up all my patterns

as far as challenges goes I’m going to try to restrain from doing too many at one time lol, I’ve already found one & yes I signed up lol!

taking 2013 one day at a time

and

embracing whatever God has in store for us!

we also sent 68 Christmas pillowcases to Oncology Kids Children's Cancer Hospital in Australia

I made 29 prim angels for a Christmas ornie swap, I had made a picture of all of them but discovered my chip wasn’t in the camera after they were packed & ready to go, after everyone got their box shelly posted pictures of all the wonderful ornies everyone made

I only did one show this year & had tons left over from the last show that I didn’t do so I only made three new Annie's

I dabbled in a little home décor lol!

I’m really loving making pillowcases

so what’s left of these few  short days before the New Year begins? finishing up my quilt!

the first thing on the agenda for the beginning of the New Year is to get the sewing room in order, make sure all supplies are are plentiful, nothing worse then running out of thread, yarn, paint, well you get the picture lol!

I’ve seen throughout blog land that a  lot make  their snowmen  & anything related to snowmen in Jan, this sounds like a good idea seeing I never seem to have enough snowmen for my Christmas show, so they may be a lot of snowmen popping up soon, here’s a few of my past snowmen

CAN YOU FIX HER?

In the eyes of a child it sometimes seems we can fix anything and make it all better, thank goodness when my niece asked me this question,it was  a simple yes, I asked, what happened to her? she replied  well somebody went into my room & sat on her face, where did her nose go I asked? she replied I have no idea! her eyes? well somebody was being rough with her  I responded well I believe I can fix her, she hugs me tight & all is right in the world again in the eyes of a child lol!  Annie is in the dolly hospital waiting for a facelift & hair restoration
