SEWING ADVICE

if I could ever get time to go by these rules it might would make for fun sewing indeed lol!the “thinking” parts not the problem, I think about what to sew all the time lol!

I only do one show a year now as apposed  to six & it’s my  two day Christmas show in Nov., I’ve been doing for the last eight years or

so but for now the focus is on my daughter getting back from China with our precious new Grandson

UPDATE ON REECE

Reece

We just  talked to Heather & seen Reece , he really keeps his eyes on Heather lol! they said he did really good leaving the orphanage,it is 1:00 am our time but around 2:00pm Mon. evening for them so as we're sleeping or trying too lol! they're just getting a good start on their day, please continue to lift them up when you pray, I knew from the start that Gods hedge of protection was all around them as always but just to show you how God works to take that to the next level, they met a couple from Tenn. who is staying in the same hotel, a few doors down, who is also adopting a little boy from the same orphanage, they have become good friends & have been to supper & will celebrate Reece's 3rd birthday while they are there, thank you Jesus ! for putting this couple in my daughter & son-N-laws path to make this journey in a foreign land a little less stressful!God is good!

they found something they could identify  at Walmart lol!

their meat department is like an open market, kinda takes you by surprise  

   

from Heathers FB post… It's fun to shop in Wal-Mart when you can't identify half the stuff in there.... made for an interesting day of trying to guess what it all was.. some things were obvious.. like the huge pig skin that was the face of the pig.. it had a snout....the whole chicken hanging bare beside the pig face...  

their Walmart has an upstairs,

from Heathers FB post…Oh the Walmart in China has a upstairs.. you go up a escalator but it's not stairs. it's flat so you can carry your buggy with you. That was pretty cool. 

they will be in China for two more weeks, all week the twins have been asking.. have they got Reece yet lol! oh how excited they will be tomorrow ! my oldest daughter asked me where were we before cell phones, computers, I-phones, Skype & web cams lol!

TODAY’S THE DAY!

Remember when Annie said oh my goodness! oh my goodness!? well oh my goodness! the time has come! my daughter & son-n-law leave for China in less than two hours, I will be with the girls till the weekend then my son-n-laws mom picks them up for the first week, then  I’m back back on  the following Sunday to Sunday for the second, yep they’ll be gone for two weeks ,continue to keep them in your prayers, they are going to try to keep us posted from China which we will keep you updated

REECE

YES! I BELIEVE I’VE GOT !

I spent the first of the morning in the sewing room, I was determined to get something sewing wise done lol! I tweaked my machine cover pattern & made another as a guide line, no way I’m messing up my pretty one that I strip  quilted, so I measured, took off inches, added inches , wrote down every little thing I did lol! & wa la I did it!

you can’t tell what the fabric is with it wrong side out but it is the yellow that I used in some of my scrappy strips

now that it’s tweaked just right I will finish the original one then sew this one for another machine &  think about adding a sewing machine silhouette, how much trouble could that be? lol!

 

LITTLE THINGS DAY FIVE

well it’s true! little things take the longest lol! but that's ok< I’m slowly getting there, it’s been a  long tiring week of dentist appointments getting my teeth cleaned & deep cleaned & a root canal to come, oh mercy! I would have gotten  a lot more done had I now had to come home & sleep off the dental gas lol!I spent the most part of the last two days making wreaths  for my daughter

I have two more that just needs finishing touches, one is  a lady bug wreath & the other is another Americana style with stars, I see lots more organizing in my future next week, maybe if I don’t say it out loud I’ll get a lot done lol!

LITTLE THINGS DAY THREE HOW HARD CAN IT BE!

SO YESTERDAY YOU EXPECTED A PICTURE & A SLIGHT TUTORIAL, WELL THAT DIDN’T WORK OUT TO WELL, SOMETHING WENT WRONG LOL! MY PAPER PATTERN  FITTED FINE

SO WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE FABRIC ONE LOL! SO I GO BACK TO THE VIDEO  FOR THE WHAT SEEMEDTHE HUNDRETH TIME LOL!, THIS TIME I TAKE NOTES OF EVERYTHING SHE SAYS LOL! & DRAW ACCORDING TO HER MEASUREMENTS              

OK  I PUT MINE BACK ON THE MACHINE HUMM DID I CUT IT WRONG?

IT APPEARS TO BE A LITTLE TOO LONG GOING THIS WAY BUT TOO SHORT GOING THE OTHER WAY, I CAN DO THIS! LOL! SO I LAY IT ALL BACK OUT & REMEASURE

ACCORDING TO HER MEASUREMENTS & MY MEASUREMENTS THE BODY IS ABOUT 3 1/2 ‘’ TOO LONG & THE ENDS ARE 1/2’’ TOO SHORT, WHY WHY WHY DID I GO FOR THE QUILTED PIECED LOOK FOR MY FIRST SEWING MACHINE COVER LOL! ANYWAYS IT LOOKS LIKE ALL I NEED TO DO IS TAKE OFF 1 1/2’’ OFF EACH SIDE TO MAKE UP THE 1’’ DIFFERNCE IN THE SIDE PANELS, I BELIEVE I’LL MAKE A MUSLIN AS I’VE WORKED SO HARD ON THIS LORDY I COULD OF MADE A QUILT BY NOW LOL!

BUT FIRST I’VE GOT TO GET TOGETHER SOME WREATHS & FIRST ONE THING & ANOTHER FOR MY DAUGHER WHO’S HAVING AN OUT OF TOWN SHOW THIS WEEKEND THEN I’LL ATTACK THAT SEWING MACHINE COVER, I WILL NOT LET IT GET THE BEST OF ME LOL!
