IT’S BEEN A SCRAPPY DAY

I’ve had a good productive day in the sewing room today, I laid all my scrappy blocks out & arranged them to my liking, then I began sewing them together creating strips

then I slightly over lapped them to get a visual on how they may look all sewn together

then they went to a safe place till time to  cut away all loose strings, trim & get all the strips lined up ,then it will be ready for quilting

I can’t wait to get it finish & perhaps take pictures of  it outside hoping it’ll make for better pictures, it wont be too big or too little but just right for snuggling

I can just feel it !

HOW EARLY DO YOU PREPARE FOR SHOWS?

It seems as soon as the last show ends we need to begin getting ready for the new Year and I gotta tell you, I miss my sewing room! lol!

what’s you favorite or best system to get it all done? so far the new plan is to start in Jan, I know.. yea! right! lol!I fist thought  Snowmen for Jan. then I made a list of all the things I normally make, yea I know , list are bad lol! for example looking at the letters in

JANURARY I can work on

Angels-Aprons-Americana-Raggedys

FEBURARY I can work on

Elves-Bears-Raggedys-Angels-Aprons-Americana

there’s no S’s for Santa's & snowmen  till down in Sept

Oct  & Nov. looks promising for Ornies, Raggedys & bears & so on & so on

so what do you think? think this is a good system or just a list that looks good? lol!

we have a few weeks left till the New Year rings in in which I’m planning to wind up all UFO’s & a little tweaking to the sewing room, I’ll ponder on this new system & see what happens!

 

 

LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR

I’m slowly getting back into the computer, I think it needs a good checkup! I’ve deleted some things & some things I shouldn’t have lol!so while I’m here lets try to get a few pictures going lol!

I mostly let my daughter benefit from the show this year & mixed a few things in with hers

these ladies kept coming back several times looking at this topiary tree heather made, I think it was the lady in the middle who bought it

my son-n-law cut out the birds, feet & added touches by Heather

I was a little displeased to come in to find the venter behind me had her lattice behind my table but all worked out well as it drew people to our table lol!

then there’s my sweet Angel I look forward to seeing every year, I’ll share more about her on my blog “Sitting At His Feet”

heather & I are looking forward to doing this show as well as many others next year together, we’re already making plans to have craft days one week out of each month in the new year
