GETTING READY FOR SURGUREY & SHOWS

Welcome back, hope all is all in your neck of the woods, it has been raining like crazy here which is good but not good for the lawnmower when the grass can reach the mailbox LOL
2 sweet friends that are coming next weekend to help redo my sewing room before my surgury paint, decorate, the works, this happy thought keeps my mind off having the light test coming up LOL, in the mean time I've been going through & seeing what all I have ready for my 1st show, not sure which will be harder, trying to go 2 weeks after surgury or letting hubby do all the setting up LOL, anyways I'm excited to see that I am close to having enough ornies to fill a tree this year, here are a few to get you in the Holiday mood LOL

lots of beaks & eyes to be painted here
lots of rusty bells (oh my where's my bells) lol to be added here

hummm, wonder if I can talk them into a craft day LOL there's tons more but this post would go on forever LOL so I can't wait till I show you them all on the tree!

WHATCHA WORKIN ON WED.

there'll be more workin on than I can handle as I try to get a handle on shows before surgery LOL but bless good friends who say they will come to my aid & help out

I attempted to start organizing the sewing room to see what all I have & what all needs tweaking & adding to the list, good thing I taught hubby to stuff a while back LOL although he may need a refresher course, but we actually sat in the sewing room all day & got 30 traditional bodies made, I sewed & he stuffed

I'm also in the middle of redoing the bathroom, boy was it a pill! LOL but coming along nicely, I had to paint with white house paint to cover the printed paneled walls then paint with the color, I chose to paint the ceiling, something I've never done before LOL the walls are kinda sand, the trims eggshell & ceiling's a soft like buttercup, having to apint it twice & doing 3 colors took me about a month, no I'm not slow...lol just a busy life lol, one side is decorated & the other side is still naked

thinking of making black/cream homespun curtain for the closet & window, end of counter there's a corner, humm door? shutter? wash tub? then there's wall space about the same as I have on the decorated side hummm decisions decisions!

be sure to go by Leslie's & see who's workin on what this week at

UPDATE

Welcome, we're so glad you stopped by, It's been a while since we've seen you, the old gallbladders been acting up again, went to a specialist & yea you guessed it! surgery! oh me ! oh my! long story short if it's possible, 4 yrs ago I have an attack, go to ER, the want surgery but my Dr says no, stay in hospital 3 days testing sooo in the course of 4 yrs of having attacks the specialist says it's put a strain on my gallbladder & stomach plus he read off things in my chart from the hospital that we had no idea such as for 4 yrs I had no idea I had a hernia sooooooo I don't get the simple snatch it out the navel & go home treatment , there's the hernia to deal with, the gallbladder to deal with plus all this strain has caused my stomach to droop so it gets to get wrapped around my esophagus & 2 days in the hospital , I will go in on the 31st for the light & the 2nd for surgery,I am trying to get my blogs set up to pre post but we'll see how that goes

CRAFT TIPS 101

Welcome to our new addition to Nanna's Place, if this is your first visit we hope that you will come again, Nanna's Raggedys-n-Prims is where you'll find what's happening over at Nanna's Treasures, show updates, craft tips & anything & everything to do with our Raggedys & Prims

We all go through tons of laundry detergent, ever wonder what you could do with those caps?

They are perfect for large or small paint jobs, can even use one for water to clean the brush out, mixing paint colors, they are also good for tracing those perfect sized circles we use in so many projects, the ideas are endless, so rethink the use of that cap before tossing out that jug

Now last but not least we can't forget the old faithful paper plate who had stood by us through thick & thin, yes they are still good for those tiny projects where we need just a touch of paint, so be sure to keep a few around, after all they do hold our sandwich when we need to take a break
