ORANGES & BERRIES

OH THOSE ORANGES!

Well I attempted  drying those orange slices  in the oven, went by exactly how the site said, but some still burned, I think I got some too thin & some too thick, I may redo  more later or just go with these for now & finish decorating this little tree

DIY CHRISTMAS PROJECTS AND ALL THAT

DAY TWO

 berries

while in Virginia at my brother-n-laws for Thanksgiving, I came home with a bag full of holly branches, they actually have a holly tree, I’ve never seen a tree only brushes, course Chris  thought that was funny lol, she told me if I’d spray a sealer  on it that it should last forever, so I sprayed away & poked it in the fence gate to dry , I’ve always wanted one of those bigger than life wreaths sprayed with snow & the holly from Hobby Lobby, you know…the ones you still can’t touch even after the big sale LOL, I have a huge wreath, now I have the holly , now to pick up a can of snow  humm add snow to the list lol

DIY CHRISTMAS PROJECTS AND ALL THAT

DAY ONE

Christmas is fast approaching & I am further behind than I was last year LOL, along with organizing, still some painting to finish up around the house, decorating, Christmas parties, seven grand's to buy for, not to mention all that wrapping lol I’m going to squeak  in some of those long awaited”just for me’s in there lol!hubby bought some oranges & said wowwww too tart! humm I have a use for those I said LOL so tonight I will be drying orange slices

Dried orange slice ornaments - These look lovely hanging on the tree. With the lights behind them, they have a stained glass appearance. I also hung some on the kitchen cabinet knobs to give the kitchen some holiday cheer. Just put a single layer of 1/4-inch sliced oranges on a cookie sheet and bake for 2 to 3 hours at 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake until dry and keep checking to make sure they don't burn.
